A two year postdoctoral fellowship is available at the ICTP South American Institute for Fundamental Research. The position is independent but applicants should have research interests that overlap with those of PI Jaron Kent-Dobias. The starting date is flexible within 2026 and early 2027. Annual net salary is R$150,840 (Brazilian reais), in addition to R$15,084 yearly for research expenses like travel. Applicants should send their CV and an expression of interest including a brief research project to jaron@ictp-saifr.org before 1 September.

Our research on using the careful breaking of supersymmetry to study counts of stationary points in random landscapes was uploaded to the arXiv preprint server, and will soon be submitted to a journal for review.

Our research studying the topology of level sets of complex landscapes using the properties of active random walkers was published in PRL.

Our research studying the geometry and topology of solution sets in continuous constraint satisfaction problems like the perceptron was published in JSTAT.
Research from the group on the topology of manifolds resulting from satisfying random constraints was recently published in SciPost Physics.
A draft manuscript describing the relationship between persistent random walks and the topology of microcanonical configuration space was also recently uploaded to the arXiv.
